A standard drink is an alcohol beverage that contains approximately 14 grams of pure alcohol (0.6 fluid ounces or 1.2 tbsp). Below are standard drink equivalents as well as the number of standard drinks in various container sizes for each alcoholic beverage. These are approximate because different types of beverages and brands vary in their actual alcohol content.
